Highlights of the Board Meeting
HIGHLIGHTS OF BOD MEETING
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2019
6:30 PM BALLROOM

The President’s Report covered a myriad of statements with regard to: soliciting estimates to rebuild our walking path, why we require “new blood” as HOA Directors, recent filing and recording of our updated  Rules & Regulations, etc.

Our Community Director, who usually talks about on-going and completed projects throughout the community, took time to ‘THANK” each board member for their dedication to their position.

Mike Ross reported that the LVN, (Lethal Viral Necrosis), has unfortunately reared its ugly head. Clay Sheffield of Sheffield Agricultural, grower of Palmetto grass, (certified), will be engaged by Avalon to replace areas both common/homeowner’s in the future. More information to follow, when available.

Mike also introduced our attorney, Ila Feld, who negotiated with Comcast covering our agreement.
Ila is awaiting an updated agreement from Comcast, which will then be presented to Avalon. Once again, information to follow.

Avalon has been requested to host the PBC Pickleball league (competitive league) because we have one of the nicest pickleball facilities in any community. Come one, come all! The finals are scheduled for Saturday, December 14, 2019, 11:00 AM.

GRG, Gerstle, Rosen & Goldenberg, our Certified Public Accountants, will continue to service Avalon for the years ended December 31, 2019 and December 31, 2020.

The board voted YES to place the red bow at the front of the clubhouse portico.

Our 2020 Budget was APPROVED when an adjustment to our quarterly payments in the amount of $1,638.00 was made.

Chris Kinsey Landscaping will be planting our winter annuals, per his contracts APPROVED by the BOD.

Our social committee, together with our social director, is busy planning such unique events for our community BOD APPROVED SPRING FLING, April 4, 2020. Come sign up and join the fun!
