Disaster Preparedness & Recovery Taskforce (DPRT)

PLEASE HELP US TO HELP YOU...

The 2025 hurricane season is upon us and forecasted to be very active, and your HOA is
seeking resident’s information, and volunteers to compliment the Avalon contracted services
as follows:

1.      Homeowner registration for assistance requests in protecting their individual residences,

2.      Volunteers to assist in the protection of the Avalon clubhouse, sports complex, and HOA
property.  Duties would be limited to securing furniture, umbrellas, and rolling up of tennis
and pickleball fence screens. There will be no ladder requirements.

Resident assistance requests, and volunteer registrations should be made to the attention of our
Community Association Manger (CAM), Kristine at CD@Avalon-Estates.com, or 561-738-7422.
Additionally, registration sheets will be available at the upcoming FirstService Residential (FSR)
town hall meeting on June 18, 2025.

The HOA has assembled ten (10) large bins of emergency supplies which are stored in the storage
room adjacent to the fitness center and are available to the community in the event of a crisis.
Inventory details are available by pressing the link below.

In addition to adequately securing your residence, it is critical that you identify a “safe room” in
your house which should not have any windows and be entered at the first warning of any
impending danger.
